Mama steps out of the kitchen in Gardening Mama

Mama steps out of the kitchen and into the garden as she transforms her overgrown yard into a flower-filled delight through a series of mini-games.

Cooking Mama turned even the most complex cooking recipes into simple, addictive food mini-games that allowed players to chop, dice and boil their own meals with the stylus. Now moving into the realm of gardening, Mama’s unique mini-games remain relatively unchanged, with the focus now on Mama’s overgrown garden.

Using the Nintendo DS touch screen, players can dig soil, plant seeds and harvest crops using a large array of everyday gardening utensils such as shovels, hoses and trowels. Once the foundations have been carefully laid, plants, fruits and vegetables will start to grow. Players can now use the Garden Editor to help create their ideal backyard, adding swings, benches, flower pots and garden gnomes to the lawn. Multiplayer allows up to four players to link up wirelessly for mini-game matches – 15 of which can be played using a single DS cart.

Mama may be best known for her work in the kitchen, but Gardening Mama manages to move the colourful and creative mini-games of her cooking titles seamlessly into the gardening world.
