I must say I really enjoyed playing Dragon Age, especially how your actions have real consequences and will effect the game ending. Brilliant! However, what really cooks my noodle is when I play the expansion of said game, and it completely ignores how my own story ended. I mean really people! What's the point in having choices with consequences and several different endings to the game, when you have already decided what the "best" ending is and the game continues from that ending with the expansion? This seems to be a serious oversight in my opinion.
I was honestly disappointed with this, and clearly the game could have gone on without said problem.
The rest of the expansion (Dragon Age - The Awakening) was good, I enjoyed playing it. The character interaction with your companions was not as rich as the original game however, which I missed. Fantastic companions again though, I really liked them. Interesting story line as well. The whole game was a bit short though. Would have been nice to have a few more places to go to and quests to complete.
Overall, I feel it was time well spend, was fun to play and I enjoyed it. Was not as great for me as the original game however and too short. The fact that it ignored my original game ending being the biggest irk for me. But if you couldn't get enough of the original game, then this will keep you from withdrawel symptons for a while.
Let's hope Dragon Age 2 delivers again!
