After a lot of searching and testing, I finally found a good online game - Adventure Quest RPG. (aq.battleon.com)
It's a Flash game, easy to understand and easy to play. It doesn't require any downloads or installs and barely uses any bandwidth - which was a big requirement for me seeing that our bandwidth is so damn expensive!!
There are clans you can belong to, as well as different classes and even sub races (vampires vs werewolves). There are lots of different quests and many many different enemies to fight. There is also a wide range of weapons to choose from and pets that can help you fight.
The game is enjoyable and very addictive.
The only problem I seem to be having is that you can't level up in a class beyond level 5 if you have a free account... There are also a number of items and quests that are exclusively for Guardians (paying players). I don't mind that all so long as it doesn't limit my own quests.
I'm actually playing as I type... I'm a level 45 now, just became a level 5 Knight and I'm now doing the Mage quests. Need to be a level 5 mage and then I can go on to be a paladin!!
Excellent! I just need to beat this daemon then I can level up! Check it out sometimes - it's loads of fun!!
